We will continue to update this page as we find ourselves contributing in various communities. We have also as individuals and a family made a conscious choice to contribute and support everyday in some way, outside of the volunteering time allocated.
Mindful Farmers Chiang Mai, Thailand
My family and I had a wonderful time volunteering on this organic farm. Pi Nan is a former monk with a loveing heart and a big vision. You feel like you are at your second home. Check out the website www.mindfulfarmers.org/
Thank you Pi Nan for your love and the opportunity to be apart of your vision and make a difference.
Tong-Len school Dharamashala, India
Wow, what an incredible time volunterring we all had at this school, an impoverished tent community. The children were an absolute delight. Tong-len has an amazing program and I recommend checking it out. The staff are so dedicated and so supportive. Run by a monk and his team, who have an incredible vision. www.tong-len.org/
We miss you guys. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the great work you do everyday.
Love from the Mouasher Family.
Despite our good intentions to volunteer in China, it just didn’t happen. After 6 months in Thailand and India Gincori and I felt its time we all needed to regroup and strengthen on all levels; physically, emotionally and mentally. Gincori and I had lost quite a bit of weight, for me about 15 kg. Some personal issues, individually and within the family dynamics that weren’t resolved from the impact of our travels needed nurturing.
The impact of a trip like ours had certainly changed us all in many ways. Each of us was going through something that needed attention, whether physically, emotionally or mentally. It was time for change and for all to embrace this change and create its integration.
In our travels around the globe we had discovered and experienced so much. The impact of this as we totally let go and engaged to the fullest, opened our hearts more deeply and connected us with each moment. The magic started to happened. We impacted those around us and we were impacted in return.
Through our family discussions and experiences on our trip, we realised that we had made a conscious choice to contribute and support everyday in some way, outside of the volunteering time we allocated. As a family, and individuals living from the heart in each moment, each breath, being present to just being in the now. This opened many doors and opportunities for us all. To see this unfold personally within my family was truly a gift.
We are now looking to do some volunteering in Cusco Peru amongst what we contribute each day, in each moment…being ourselves living with open hearts.
Lots of love
